I felt I needed to take Dejesus due to potential injuries in the outfield with Allen and Cabera out there as he can play all outfield spots. SGT D

At this point, DeJesus is looking mighty good. Almost took him a couple rounds back as an all-around fill-in for the OF, but I knew my cap was already beckoning and I needed a deep bullpen since all the true closers and long man studs were gone

As for the live draft, we've always gone 24 rounds with two autodrafts, so I'm cool w/ that. Tradition!

I looked at DeJesus as a potential platoon partner with Denorfia in center, but that would have been a pretty expensive platoon, and DeJesus isn't that much better against righties. The option I have now is platooning Moore and Denorfia in left and moving Ruggiano to center, but my defense would take a considerable hit.

Meanwhile, Zim may have the largest share of the salary cap going toward catching that I've ever seen ($18.88 million).

I am heading out for a good chunk of the night and have some complex decisions rounding out my roster, so if it gets to me it will likely be stuck until late tonight. I just don't have enough time to do my homework on the picks here before I have to head out. See ya soon!

I have proxies loaded as I will be stepping out for awhile. I can be reached on my cell (607) 768-5496 if my proxies run out. SGT D

Zim has always been a bit of a Man of Mystery when it comes to communiques. Clock's off for the weekend anyway, right?

Meanwhile, I was seriously on the fence between Kearns and Galvis, Galvis and Kearns. Do I take the solid OF corner backup with decent OBA and power both ways, or the stellar defensive IF backup who can't hit at all (but still hits better than the automatic out that is Paul Janish?). In the end, it was Kearns (though I was also flirting w/ the much cheaper but near-powerless Abreu), a bigger jump towards the salary cap, and now scrubs the rest of the way.

Love some of these new emoticons, though I have no idea what  is supposed to be.

Zim picked and proxies have been fired. It stopped at Mark, I sent him a message to let him know he is up. SGT D
