Well, my new personal strategy is to quit listing him. I'm 0-3 trying to get him so I might as well try for a different player

After 99 games at Progressive I certainly can't complain.

Sebastian did not say he was a bum as Geekor and Visick implied he did, he simply asked if he was worth it. There are some people on these boards who aren't going to win many congeniality awards, nor division titles if they are in my division.

I play many seasons with both of those guys. The are very fine people. They just have a different sense of humor than you do. I read their posts and all they are saying is don't draft him even though he has great numbers, I will take him. The response by Steve F was great. I won't draft him as I don't want to lose out and get a player I don't want or need. Something learned by everyone and that is what this site is all about.
I tell everyone that starts here that you may not get the answer you are looking for but you will always get help. Most of these guys are numbers first and that is all this game is about. I posted to a thread about worst decision ever and expected it to go crazy with humor and only 2 responses. Not a lot of humor here that doesn't have to do with baseball.

Oh I forgot unless Frank M is involved and than everyone chucks him under the bus. There were many great photos of Frank on the site until Strat banned photos. My favorite was the Frank bump on the bus.

Thanks RB & chasenally ! I in no way was saying he was a bum at all. Just in the 5 leagues I have taken part of he is hitting anywhere from .270 to .300 and not even in the top ten in homers or ribbies in three of them. Maybe in my next five leagues he will crush it but I have not seen it myself yet!

OK here it is, the worst season ever for Moss (at least so far). He was first on my draft list and I'm playing at Progressive (a great park for him) and he's stinking up the place:

Moss, Brandon (L, 3R)
vs. L 66 17 2 0 5 10 5 23 .258 .306 .515
vs. R 118 25 6 0 7 12 7 49 .212 .254 .441
TOT184 42 8 0 12 22 12 72 .228 .273 .467 8.74M

Amazingly, he's worse against RHP for me. Still a somewhat small sample size, but he better start kicking ass soon. :)

^ What's the split of rolls on his card vs the pitcher's card?

Anyone can have a bad season. The year (I forget) where Manny had that 10+ mil super card that was a .300+ 40+ HR card for everyone, I somehow got him to hit .236 for an entire season with just 25 HR. Bad luck is bad luck.

Moss is not going to average a .300+ hitter. What he will average (among all leagues) is a .270+ hitter with 40+ HR easy. If I can get 50+ in Fenway, twice, then he has power. He has the most TB's vs RHP, fact. And as typicall you will face about 70%+ RHP..... it makes sense.

Bad seasons will happen, with anyone. This is statistics, all you can do is stack it in your favor as much as possible, then hope the SOM gods play to your favor.
