Can we not just do a 3 round draft for the free agents? If we're doing 2 rounds, why not just 3?

It might seem silly, but there is a small risk that someone would take the same player, especially since some people (most?) have to take a scrub pitcher, to substitute later for their real pick (batter), and since I'm down to only scrubs left anyway for all of my 3 pitcher FA picks!

I'll go with the way you've got it, though, obviously, if that's the decision.
Geoff

I've heard from some managers who think the draft past the first round will be driven more by how much money is available than anything else. I think the two rounds is a happy medium. Everybody be sure to prioritize your last pick when you build your team.

Can a keeper be traded for one of the 3 FA draft picks? I was just wondering if that is a way around the issue for GMAC with him needing 4 RP's. It would give him 4 FA picks. Or does that go against the keeper rules in place. I was trying to decide whether to offer my 3rd pick for someone - like Dobbs and what it would do to my keeper list and his list. Since I have the 1st pick in the FA draft, I wanted to be clear before I do anything since it could affect my salary choice. Would it mean I end up with 23 keepers....and what does that mean to 2008, do I still only drop 1 keeper or would it be 2, to get down to 21. I'm trying to find a way to help and I have 10 pitchers but that was a big part of my draft strategy....so I'm hoping to keep them. So I thought a draft pick for a keeper trade may work. Dobbs could be useful to me without blowing out my salary cap.

A quick answer on the fly. You can trade keepers for non keepers. The keepers are still keepers. The free agents are still free agents. Refer back to minimum numbers of free agents in the introduction to the thread.
