NLD 32 - Let's Play Two

From the rules book:

'The Top Seed (the team with the best regular season record in the league) plays the Wild Card team in the Semi-Finals, UNLESS the Wild Card is in the same division, in which case the Top Seed plays the Division Winner with the worst record. The other two teams play each other in the other Semi-Finals series. The Division Winner with the better record has home-field advantage in each series.'

Well, we managed to win 2 of 3 despite blowing a save in game two and losing in 13.

Up by 1 with 3 to play, but holding the tiebreaker so the magic number is 2. Definitely not taking anything for granted.

Hawk clinches. He's two back of GB for the HF advantage in the first round. If they tie, Hawk holds the tie breaker. GB's Magic # is also 3.

Looking at the stats I found something I found pretty remarkable....The top 5 teams in HR's are ALL under .500! Don't think i've ever seen that before....Who says pitching can't win in SOM?

Ah, but Corky, where are the top pitching teams?

...and Hawk clinches. My relievers were my undoing...we tried to hang tough, but in the end there was no one to clamp down in the late innings.
