Still waiting for Ray and Billy to weigh in, but propositions 5 and 6 have passed. Proposition 1 passes as well, but none of the choices will attain a consensus, which means we need to keep looking for common ground. Would people be willing to go for a shorter clock than 24 hours, and longer than 1 hour, such as maybe 12 hours, once people have checked in?

I vote YES on 1,3,5 and 6.
I think Rick's compromise is OK< but I'd still prefer 24 hours on the first round.

While I still like the one hour clock for the first round after everyone has checked in, I will change my vote to the 24 hour clock for the first round, if it helps get it passed. Anything is better than no clock, which just delays the draft completely. And of course, we can re-visit it again in the future.

Now a 24 hour clock does mean the 1st round of the draft can last 12 days?!

While I fail to understand the need for a 24 hour clock after it has been confirmed that everyone has agreed on the start date of the draft, I will go with whatever the majority of the league wants.

It also means it can't last longer than 12 days...

I don't mind stating my opinion here.

this is an ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!

this draft is already painfully LONG & now we have all but guaranteed that it can be a maximum of 12 days JUST for rd1 & if the draft has a minimum of 10 rds we can now add 9 days to the 12 for 21 days!!! 3 FREAK'N WEEKS to complete the FA Draft!! REALLY?!?!

I'm not mad at anyone here because a vote is a vote but this is RIDICULOUS!!! sorry for the rant & I don't think the previous post making a joke about it only being 12 days was very funny. that's 12 days for 1 round. this is just WRONG man.

notice I didn't end this with 'THANX' before I signed off like I usually do!! that's because there is NOTHING to be thankful about regarding this.

Rick,

The issue was that, during the last draft, some people knew we were drafting and still took 2+ days to make their first round pick. Jay pointed out that it was unfair to have some drafts with no clock, and others with 1 hour on the first round.

It certainly is not going to make things last longer than they already do, because we currently have no clock on the first round, so people don't ever have to make their first round pick under the current rules. Those people will be skipped after one day. For everyone else, it will be business as usual. It would make the 3 round supplemental draft a tad longer, but provide consistency in the rules.

It seems the general consensus is to make all the drafts the same, but we couldn't come to a consensus on whether that was to have the 1 hour clock for round 1 as well (like the current supplemental draft rules), or to have a 24 hour clock, or to have no clock (like the current Spring FA and Prospect drafts). I will change those rules, and, since everyone has voted in one form or another, the draft WILL start on Monday, June 17th at 10AM ET, and, barring us coming up with a new rule, it WILL have the 1 hour clock on round 1.
