I'll admit to seeing Bob Feller pitch in my first ML game and to watching the likes of Teddy Ballgame and Joe Di. But despite what Andy says, I never saw Addie Joss.
I know you never saw Joss, Tom. He died in 1911. It was Ed Walsh that Tom saw pitch.
I'm 47. Saw my first game in Texas in 1977. Ken Singleton hit a 3-run homer off Doyle Alexander in the first inning. Alexander settled down and didn't allow another run. In the 9th, trailing 3-2, the Rangers tied the game when Jim Sundberg doubled to left-center, driving in Toby Harrah. Alexander went back out for the 10th and shut Baltimore down again. Harrah drove in Beniquez with a single to win the game.
