I don't have any suggestions for your lineup other than those mentioned previously.

I do however, have some different recommendations for pitching.

1 - Walter Johnson 7.77
2 - Smokey Williams 7.00 or Ray Brown 5.57
3 - Doc White 5.73 or Fitzmorris 5.57
4 - Coombs

If you have the money I like the combination of BOTH Mike Marshall and Issringhausen and keep just one lefty setup and one righty setup and convert your other bullpen guy to another cheap pinch hitter. Issy is your closer, and then Marshall does it ALL, setup, middle, mop up, tied and late, tied and 9th...He'll give you 200+ innings and Issy and your 2 set up guys will pick up the rest.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their advice.

I dropped Gant and Coleman for a couple cheap defensive outfielders (1906 Jim Jackson for .73m, and 1982 Bobby Clark for .58m).

I dropped Bobby Thigpen for 1979 Mike Marshall (1.75m) and intend to use him as a jack of all trades / heavy innings eater out of the pen (I had this Marshall earlier and dropped him to try and upgrade earlier).

I also changed from my Walter Johnson to a 1994 Greg Maddux. I'm sure I'll be going back and forth on ace SP at least once more before my league starts up on Monday.

So from what you've seen of the other rosters in the league, you like my chances?

(Oh, and I thought about upgrading CF, but I want at least 1 big time SB threat).

Thanks again!

Generally the most important OF spot for a strong arm is CF. I agree with keeping Rickey, but I would play him in LF and find a better defensive CF with a better arm who could maybe bat 2nd behind him. DomDimaggio, Roush, Hooper, that type.

definitely solid improvements. If its a no dh league, i like that combs card. Same with JR richard in a righty context.

The big thing considering that its a DH league is theres gotta be somebody better than my White Sox guy Ed Walsh. The Big Train Walter Johnson's probably that guy. Yes the cheaper ones great but the 10.98 is REALLY GREAT. Check out this season. It is a super D team (1st ever, lotta fun) but thats not the lesson. The lesson is is that some pitchers (like Walter) are just way better. Plus he RAKES with a .291 average with 17 rbi

I never really use Aaron but I mean come on, he'll get it done.

Team looks pretty good although Webb can't play center. I like bad defense but 4's is the outfield is beyond bad.
