50. Just started strat this year. I had Statis-Pro baseball board game as a kid and my wife got me a strat game for Christmas last year. Played the board game a few times and then started the on-line game. My first team lost in the championship game and I was thinking this game is pretty easy and I will play free forever. My 2nd team is ok but probably will fall short of the playoffs. My 3rd team is ATG and I am 2-7 right now. So much as for me being a genius.

My first real game was in Baltimore in 1976. Saw Reggie play but missed Fidrych. Lived a couple of hours away from Baltimore so most of my baseball was on the tv on Saturday afternoon. Getting my kid (26, not really a kid anymore) into this. We play fantasy together so this will be fun.

55 years old. Played the board game in the late 60's. Grew up in Miami with no major league team so went to the Oriole's spring games and listened to the Braves on transistor radio.... went to the same high school as Steve Nicosia so it pleases me that he is a popular pick as part of a catching platoon. The older boys in the neighborhood all played strat so you had to if you wanted to be cool.

48yrs old, started playing the board game in the late 70s and the on line game in 2004. Loved watching the Dodgers play in the 70s and hearing Scully announcing the games. The Dodgers had the longest running infield that played and stayed together for 8 years! Don't think you will see that again, with free agency these days.....can you name the infield?

Brent, of course....Steve Garvey, Davey Lopes, Bill Russell, Ron Cey.

I actually liked those guys back then. Consistency has appeal.

Turned 60 Dec 31 2012, nice night to have a celebration!! Joined community in ATG1 days, played more teams in version 2 and have been hooked ever since. Took a while to get the hang of building teams, but the boards and community were a great help to me. Thanks again!!

I grew up a huge Oriole fan, but live outside Boston. Great times when Frank came over from the Reds. Bad Red Sox teams will do that to you. I used to marvel at the Jimmie Halls, Jim Northrups, Rick Reichart and even early Sam Bowens etc. type players the Red Sox never would produce. And all the bad pitching I'd see at Fenway. I actually saw Dave Duncan hit 5 doubles off Bill Lee/ bull pen in a game, and a Earl Wilson no no against the Angels. Just barely know MLB baseball now, but still enjoy seeing what some of the All Time greats can do for you in a season of on line strat. I am using the Toy Cannon for the first time ever.

First game purchased was "The Selector Set' in 1965, ended up with a third base plethera of talent, Ron Santo, Ken Boyer, Brooks Robinson, Dick Allen. I bought the second load of cards when Pittsburgh had Manny Mota and Matty Alou hit .332 and .342, Clemente was huge and Clendenon and Stargell helped make them a dangerous team. I think that was the 66 season.

Great community here, I like that we criticize when it's warranted and heap praise when appropriate.... long live Grindi (ha ha!)..

I wish SOM would pay attention to their loyal customer base here at the boards but hey what do I know...

12, emotionally, if not mentally. We'll see you on the playing field tonight, Mr. Dingys. Kevin is leading the division and we can't let that continue. ;)

Yes, we are gentrifying here, no doubt. 8-)

55 next month

I can still remember going to Shea Stadium and just being awe-struck by the beautiful field

Online Stat appears to be dieing. They need to find ways toimprove it (like restoring the live draft, have uneven scheules (so your number 1 does not always go against th other numver 1's, etc) and loweringthe price
