Average age of online Strat community?

I just turned 60 this week, but I'm trying to recruit young members to Strat-o through my school's club.

FUDU and Hack notwithstanding, and deducing Musial6 to be 61, the average of 32 respondents stands at just under 55 years of age. Only 3 are under 30 (if we can allow Adrian to be counted).
Am I the only one born in the year that the Braves took out the Yankees?

I am 54 years, 8 months old. Just an average kind of guy.

Turned 63 in April.Played strat board game 1964. Lived in Europe 1959-1963 and listened to baseball games on the AMFN. I used to ride my pedal bike to the base to get the stars and stripes news paper just so I could see the box scores. First ball game was at Jarry park in Expos vs Cubs 1974.

40 here ... glad to know there's a place where I still count as a whippersnapper.

57 1/2. First played the strat board game when I was 16. Grew up in Houston, TX. (Have lived in NH since 1978). My dad would bring a radio in to my room at nights sometimes, and we would listen to Colt 45's games (before they became the Astros). He'd sit on my bed, and explain the game to me. I would soak up my dad's knowledge, and passion for baseball. I can remember trying to understand things like what a force play, and a double play was, and my dad would get my toy army men out and set them up on the bed, and use them to illustrate how the plays would work. Some of my favorite memories from my childhood. He's been gone almost 23 years now. He was a WW2 vet, who served in the Army at Guadalcanal & Bougainville. I have played the on-line game here since 2002, but I rarely come to the MB nowadays.

Was lucky Mom the Met fan was cool enough to take me to see Mantle play in 64. He was almost done and slowed down, but it was like going to church.
Played the board game with neighbors as long as I can remember. One guy was a huge JC Martin fan. He doctored his JC Martin card to add hits and BPHRs

I'm 51. I don't have many memories of my first trip to Tiger Stadium - I think it was in 1970 - but by far my most vivid memory is watching Mark Fidrych out duel Frank Tanana (native Detroiter) 2-1 as a 14 year old in that magical summer of '76. I remember we had horrible seats at the rear of the lower deck, but the crowd was >50,000 for a mid-August game and the atmosphere was unreal.

But, I have the mind of a 13 year old and the body of a 63 year old. So that averages out to...38! How bout that?
