The bottom line is you can win with a 3 or two at the important defensive positions
.
Of course that's the bottom line. Two plus two also equals four. That's the bottom line with about almost every semi-legitimate strategy someone can devise. Given the right situation, the right league, the right team or the right luck almost anything can succeed. The question is whether his team is one of those that has the potential for success given his situation. I have made the playoffs both times(winning once) I played "4" rated players in CF. To then say "the bottom line is you can win with a 4 rated player in CF" is simplifying the situation.

Due to various injuries, my opponent will be starting the following infield in tonight's first game:
1B 4e9
2B 5e50
SS 3e44
3B 3e59

I'm very excited. My game plan is to tap the ball gently in any direction, then run like hell.
(Mind you, I'll still probably find a way to lose...)

Durantjerry, yes I simplified the equation, but when you said the same thing adding the 3 in the field must hit enough to make it worth the while that is not much more complex. Are you always this cranky Jerry? I remember when you at least made an effort to be civil on the boards.
