Please make "clutch hitting" an optional feature

As discussed in the topic below, I think most of the online players would favor elimination, or making optional, this feature. It really isn't applicable to the online game as the SOM implementation of "clutch" is really more for statistical realism than for anything the players are really likely to do in "clutch situations".

Since we aren't replaying seasons here, there is no real benefit to the clutch system. It makes the game more confusing for beginners and those who are long time SOM veterans know better than to use this feature when playing a "made up" season.

I am part of that thread, and while I think the clutch system could have been done much better, I do not favor dropping it. It adds a dimension to the cards that has to be considered (or ignored if one chooses to), thus making for a more challenging, interesting game.
