Not what I'd call a typical progressive team by any means.

Cano had a nice year on that Manhattan Mahoots Championship team. Mauer had a good year as well. The manager of the Manhattan Mahoots has been managing on-line SOM teams for years, and he drafted Cano and won a championship with him, for whatever that is worth.

I was in the division with that team--I threw three lefties at him nearly every series and still couldn't beat him--(Miley, Detwiler, and Blackley)--missed playoffs by 2 games--also Moss was hurt 15 games on two occasions--he should have won 105.

sounds like a bet to me...

how about we create a league where I can put Headly and Cano on my card and no one else takes them...

I'm sure I can still win :D

I agree the price tag is pretty steep. I think he is usable in a LH park because of the number of cheaper viable LH/RH platoons that you can employ in a LH park-C Davis, G Jones, Kubel, Chavez, Kinsler, Caine, Guitierrez, RH catchers, etc. There are also some cheap relievers that work in the LH parks. Here is a decent 90 win team with Cano. 4th in offense, 5th in pitching and Cano 3rd in OPS.

Geekor I will never put Headley or Cano on my card in a 60 million or 80 million dollar league and don't understand why anyone would. You can have them. You are sure you can still win what? I will take that bet if I get to be in your division.

Updated Edit:
I guess I have been a bit defensive with some of the veterans here on the boards (ie: Visick, Geekor, DurantJerry), and I would like to apologize for that fellas. I sort of felt like you guys can be mean (maybe that is the wrong word) or just blunt with some of the new guys. I also like to challenge some of the conventional wisdom and you guys along with Coyote, LM Bombers, and a few others are the vets with the wisdom. Usually when I build a team I feel it can play with anyone, but I suppose something would be wrong if I did not feel that way. Most of the time I will yield to the more veteran GMs in a debate. I wish I had more time and credits because I really love this game. I could not have dreamed up a better time as a Strat-O-Matic playing youth... Anyway, I wanted to apologize and say, HAVE A HAPPY 4TH OF JULY and a great summer. Good luck, and I hope to be meeting some of you guys in some playoff series real soon.
