Miguel Cabrera not living up to numbers?

Just played a full season with Miggy in Comerica (1-11 SI/1-8 HRs) and he ended up with .294/.366/.516, well below his .330/.393/.606

Led the team in errors (17) and led the league in Groundout Double Plays (29).

In 4 playoff games (vs. all RHP) went 2-for-16, both singles, no walks.

What kind of results have people been getting with Cabrera? I'm trying to decide if I will go after him again in the next season.

Well it is not like those numbers are bad. 38 doubles 34 HR 119 RBI .294 BA and .366 OBP

I would say those numbers are not all that far off from expected. Of course they would have been a little bit better in a more hitter friendly park.

That's decent for your park. Overall Miggy was only 6 for 26 in BP homers. In a hitters park he will be near the top in the triple crown categories since he is bulletproof. Of course he hit into 29 DPs which is his flaw.

That's also what I thought. If you add 14 of those missed 20 BP HR's to his HR total, his average is up to .316, Runs to 111, HR's to 48 and RBI probably approaching 140 or more. I'm sure his OBP and slugging would be looking pretty good also.
