Interesting observations on the draft process.
As usual, Jeep came up with a winner.
1. Quality pitching went far quicker than quality offensive players. If we were shooting for "equity," perhaps it could be 10 hitters, then eight pitchers. That way there is something left at the bottom. OR teams 1-6 get eight hitters and the bottom 6teams get 10 picks. This would echo in pitching. Just my two cents. As Jeep has done it, it is simple and elegant.
2. The waivers process, and the free agent grab, which runs now as a normal league, is going to be interesting. There are some very good, albeit expensive players out there, and it will be fun to see which biggies get dropped to garner some of those.
