I would like to propose a possible idea for single seasons for SOM online:
Every year, establish two single seasons based upon the anniversary of a certain season. For example, in January of 2014, SOM would establish a 1964 (50th anniversary) and a 1989 (25th anniversary) season. These seasons would be available during the 12 months of calendar year 2014. All other seasons would not be available (1986 and 1999; it looks like SOM has no plans of bringing back the 1969 game).
Something like this would probably generate a lot of excitement for single season leagues. As an additional option, perhaps a crossover option could be allowed, which would allow the intermix of players/teams from both of the highlighted seasons.
