For many of us (not all) that have tried the 70's, 80's and 90's mystery card games it was kinda neat the first time playing but after a couple of tries you realize it really is mostly luck of the draw rather than skill in building a competitive team...however, I really love the idea of the decade theme...
How about a Decade game that is NOT a mystery set but rather about 900 players making up about 1800 cards....one of my problems with the Mystery card game is that the sets are too small and constraining not allowing for much variety or outside of the box thinking...
I would love either a 50's or 60's game with 1800 cards and no mystery card aspect...it would be a lot of fun!
Sounds like a good idea, but I would prefer to see more single seasons. There are so many to pick from, and it doesn't take long to run thru the 1986, 99, and '07-2012 seasons. We need more individual seasons like '27, '56, and so on......
To many teams, not enough time! Must be an addiction!!
I asked for that a long time ago. I even mentioned why not do a 2000 set seeing as they already had all the 2001-2010 data, since that is when the game started at TSN.
I want the 1916 Bud Weiser card when he hit .300 and cracked a double every 10 at bats. And unlike in 1915 when he fielded .897, in 1916 he made zero errors.

I prefer the mystery card concept but will no longer play the current mystery games as the player pool is much too small in each one. A game combining the current games into one would work or as I have suggested many times an ATG type game using those players having multiple years in the correct format.
