Mystifying

What I don't get is with nobody out and a guy like Jack Clark on 1st, Hal will try and score him on a double.
Meanwhile, with 2 outs and a guy like Rickey Henderson on 2nd, Hal will hold him at 3rd.
The whole base running deal is screwy.

They should have a rule where every so often, the manager gets ejected and HAL makes random decisions and ignores all of the manager's strategy settings. It seems that the random decision software is already written, so it shouldn't be too difficult.
