My biggest bust here was Konerko--just couldn't get any offense from him---this was my first online team--Espinosa led team in RBI's until the very last set when Desmond passed him---also Cory Hart---I finally dumped him and Moustakas about 48 games in for Longoria and Chisenhall who both did well--team came close to postseason but went 5-16 or so in last 21 games.

Your ballpark turned a lot of HRs into out. Plus a lot of those hitters are non-clutch (see your MISC stats)

I can't dump him because it's a theme league

Since the above post, Trout has batted .361 with 19 HRs in 155 ABS
He is now at .281 .351. .540 AB-452 HR-27 SO-136 GIDP-21

Carlos Santana through 102 games is batting below .200 with 6 HRs and a sub .600 OPS. But my team is doing well so I am not complaining. And I would even draft him again.

My bust for the list is Trout. He will get his hits and walks but I have noticed that he gets them when it really does not matter. He is a disaster with me on base ( had his hit into 3 dp's and strike out 3 times in a series for me last night with runners in scoring position and did not get a single RBI. Oh he did hit a homer but was with bases empty and I was losing by a bunch.

Choo .233/.298/.349 $6.80
Prado .233/.283/.349 $6.42

Sorry to unearth this thread, but I just *had* to recap this season. Well, my top hitters really pulled it together after this post. Over the next 150 games, they rocked. Over the whole season, here's the final numbers:
Fielder .248/.328/.388 $8.72
CarGo .236/.305/.379 $7.55
Choo .263/.348/.392 $6.80
Prado .264/.330/.377 $6.42

Does AT&T really sap that much from people's production? Or was I just struck by a complete collapse of all my key hitters in a single season? The pitching also tanked way worse than I expected (even at home). Choo was actually better at home than on the road. Fielder was about equal. The other two were a little better on the road. And we had a lot of hitters parks as my road pitching attests.

In the end, I was 82-80 and 4 games out of the playoffs. I keep thinking if any of the above guys played up to what I thought that they would, it could have easily made a 4 game difference. I played close to the most extra inning affairs in the league...

Yes, the BP did lower their production a lot as the stats show. Prado did well considering the high ratio with an unfavorable Pitcher to Hitter roll count, while Choo should of done better with his favorable count.

Martin Prado and Choo were kind of busts for me too, on a really weird team that ended up lucking into a championship. I suppose I should post that team...

Here is A.J. Burnett getting rocked to the tune of a 6.53 E.R.A., and I still haven't cut him. Because cutting players almost never pays unless it is late in the season and they are hurt.

Adam LaRoche in safeco, 6.9m .199 .264 .342 -- yes it's safeco, but his ROAD record was .186 .251 .283! -- dumped him at the mid-point, replaced with Swisher who did much better (.241 .332 .396)
