lots of BS. callison led the NL in outfield assists from 62-65. 4 consecutive years against clemente, yet he gets a 4 arm to clemente's 6? left out jim palmer. left off elson's 61 season and a bunch of others. also, remarkably, tiant isn't a *sp! among others.

I still don't understand why guys have different ratings than the ATG set.
ie. Belanger was all glove/ no stick. Why isn't he a 1 like he is in ATG?
Johnny Callison is a 1 in ATG, and a 2 in this set.

The 60's was full of those middle IF guys -Maxvill, Lanier, Hansen, Knoop

With Jayhawk on this one, have a look at BBRef for both

Clemente http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/clemero01-field.shtml#advanced_fielding_rf::none
Callison http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/callijo01-field.shtml#advanced_fielding_rf::none

More runners held up when Clemente was throwing
Over Clemente's career, 48.1% of runners HELD instead of trying to take an extra base (2nd, 3rd, or home) when he played RF. The league avg over that span was 40.2% of runners held. For Callison 42.8% runners held compared to the league average of 40.7% during his career span when he was in RF.

Callison has more putouts, but has a lot more chances
As far as putouts go, Callison had more, but a lot more runners tried that wouldn't on Roberto. Over their careers, 1167 runners ran on Clemente in 2307 games in RF (1 time every 17.8 innings, or over 154 games - 77 attempts/season), 965 runners went on Callison 1587 in RF (1 time every 14.8 innings, or over 154 games - 94 attempts/season). So basically runners went for the extra base approx 20% more often when Callison was in RF.

Clemente had a great arm for his entire career
Callison had 1 year (in 14) that more than 50% of runners held, Clemente had 5 years with 50%+ (in 18 years). Clemente's had 13 out of 18 years with a 46% hold or higher, Callison had 1 out of 14 year above 46% holds.

great work latorre. sure seems like runners try to advance more than 14+ innings. I saw aaron snooker clemente for an extra base. hank was a great baserunner but never gets credit. anyway, pirates at braves 1971. aaron on first, cepeda rips a line drive single to clemente. aaron basically walks into to 2b keeping his eye on clemente. clemente knowing aaron has no thoughts of advancing, nonchalantly threw back into the infield behind aaron who instead of stopping at 2b heads full speed to 3b. safe not even a throw. clemente was pissed. braves won game 3-1 but pirate would be world champs.
