Strat chart viziers, please help me understand

My team is the Cards, and Ozzie Smith is my shortstop. (1e12)
Gibson starting the game as pitcher.

inning 1 man on 1b (Dahlen), roll comes 6-5 (gb(ss)X) for a single
inning 9 same situation (Snider on base this time), same roll, same result

what about a gb(ss)x with a runner at 1b makes these singles?
is he running to cover 2b on a steal and leaving a hole?

LH batter up, Ozzie has steal coverage duties at 2b, raising his range by 1. There still is not much of an opportunity for a hit, but you had the touch for split card draws last night.

I think the correct technique, is to blow on your finger tips, snap them and draw quickly from the pile to get a desired card. Unfortunately, HAL sometimes interferes with those things, leaving your team to the whims of Fate.

Be happy in knowing you hit a longshot. Probably forgot to bet the Daily Double, didn't you.
