1883 was Coleman's rookie season and his record was 12-48. Possibly the most losses for a rookie ever. :lol:

I'm sure Coleman's agent appreciates 2 teams fighting over the 48 game losers services..maybe the Yankees could offer him a 10 year contract? :P

They are the only a couple .50 pitchers left. I mentioned earlier that Coleman lost 48 games and gave up 773 hits!And he is not THAT bad a strat player.

Coleman batted .299 in 400 plus at bats 1885, he played over 500 games in the OF during his career.

Should be Pape instead of Pope.

For a moment I thought it was a takeoff on Harry Lord's name (Lord and Pope both being religious terms, and Larry and Harry being rhyming names).
