Which Ken Griffey JR card is best?

PostSun Aug 11, 2013 4:12 pm

Yes, his .521 OBP is nice, but he should have better stealing numbers for stealing 100 bases.

Do you think belle should be moved up a couple of places?

I'll keep you posted. It starts tomorrow.

Oh yeah. Finally, in my second league, man-ram is killing it and I picked him off wavers. He has missed some time because of his injury rating, but I have pretty good back ups.

Thanks for all the help.

Eighth is a good spot for him. I just used him in Minute Maid and he hit .260 with a .616 slugging in around 365 at bats.

Check the ballparks, it's a righty favorable stadium. Picking your team to fit your park is the single most important part of this online game. The goal is to try to win a bunch at home and maybe .500 on the road. That is a winning formula. That is part of what I was referring to when looking at your team. It looks like you might get out slugged in your own park too often. You might not be able to hit with the teams with Ruth, Hornsby, Foxx, Aaron, Mays, Bonds, Walker, Brett on them. I know no team has all of those guys but your team is just a touch below the elite at almost every spot in the order.

You will be in for a long season if you bat Belle against leftys. Those stats I gave you were 99% against rightys. Only ten at bats versus leftys. At 200mil, every minor weakness your team has will be exposed.

Minute maid?

I tried for more players to fit the park, but the draft was not good to me. You should be able select your stadium ater the draft. This was only my second online draft. I did pretty well.

I am getting rid of Nellie fox and Canseco. Any suggestions (from anyone) of what to do with 10,000,000+?

Martin dihigo lets me not have to replace Nellie with another 2nd-baseman. He is a switch hitter and stings when batting left. He is a B-stealer, bunter and H&R player and has the following defensive ratings.
ss-2e26 / 1b-2e11 / cf-1(-5)e18 / 2b-2e11 / 3b-3e47 / rf-1e18 / lf-1e18

Every team where I can take him, I will. He even subs for Griffey in CF with his 1(-5) arm and move Griffey to RF in the later innings.

I guess my point is, that I have 10-million dollars left and the only thing I need is a solid closer, but they are few and far between.

I just traded PEDRO or belle, stan kovoleski and addie joss. I have too many good starters. Hideo nomo is on the trading block or a closer or someone like orel Hershiser 8*/3.

I was just saying that Minute Maid was the ballpark I was in that those Belle stats came from.

Pedro? Who, Pedro Guerreo?

If you could provide a link to the available free agents, maybe I'll see something but usually the free agents are picked over pretty good by now.

Dihago is in over his head at 200mil. Nice arm in the outfield but E18 is a disaster and hope he doesn't get any more than 10 at bats.

Reardon sucks. Pick up Feller for long relief
