Reading Play By Play

anyone know how to read the play by play of finished games? it has player batting then a number, what the batter did, then like b-1

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE:
BOTTOM OF INNING 3

1 R.Yount 6 Home Run b-H F9
1 B.Buckner 1 Single b-1 F9
1 1 D.Winfield 5 Fly Out b-0 F9
Stolen Base 1-2 F9
2 2 W.Cromartie 4 Walk b-1 F9
2 12 L.Herndon 2 Triple 2-H 1-H b-3 F9
2 3 J.Sundberg 3 Line Out b-0 F9
I KNOW WHAT THE LEFT COLUMN IS. THEN THE BATTER. WHAT IS THE NUMBER AFTER THE PLAYER AND BEFORE HIS ACTUAL AT BAT RESULT?
I ALSO KNOW WHAT THE NUMBERS ARE AFTER THE AT BAT RESULT

I believe it is the number of pitches thrown during that at bat.
