Notice that his last MLB game is also the day he died. I wonder if he died on the baseball field?

There's an inconsistency in his biography. In the body of wiki, states he lived until April 9, 1945.

According to Baseball - Reference Cather died in 1945.

Notice that his last MLB game is also the day he died. I wonder if he died on the baseball field?

To the best of my knowledge, Ray Chapman is the only MLB player who has died on the baseball field after he was beaned by Carl Mays in an August 1920 game (technically I guess he wasn't actually on the field when he died).
