Say you pick Hornsby (St. Louis rather than Chicago) on your first pick. Then when you come to your pitcher pick, you see Alexander's still available. Now is the better PHI Alexander available or just the lesser St. L Alexander. I'm thinking the answer is St. L Alexander, right? You have to stay within franchise or city (whichever the case may be) for your two picks, right?

This could be iffy because there's lots of good players that cross over franchises, as well as some who may have played for the same franchise, but different cities - Marichal, Aaron, Mays (?) Isn't Marichal the one who has a card that isn't listed on either post NYG or exp SF?

YES. You are correct, it would be the lesser St Louis Alexander, since you picked the St Louis Hornsby....you have to stay in to the same City and/or Franchise (until voting is over, that's what this poll is all about...if the vote comes down to city then it would affect players taken from franchises like the Braves or Giants which have changed cities, for players taken from franchises that have changed cities, and the vote comes down for franchise then the owner has the flexibility to take any player from that franchise 1900 to present regardless of city, if the vote comes down to CITY, then the players and stadium would be confined to eras only within the parameters of that city....using the Brave for example you would then have 3 different options, Boston, MIL, ATL...so you if take a hitter from MIL, then you would also be required to take a pitcher and stadium from MIL Braves, much more restrictive)

This is why I've asked Cassidy to hold off on his #1 pick until this issue is resolved...I'll be leaving for work in 90 minutes, in case the voting isn't concluded until after, this is how I'd like you guys to handle...[color=#408040][b]If the FRANCHISE VOTE ever gets to "6" then switch my vote to Franchise, then Cassidy, start the draft with your pick and everyone the restrictions are off], a Brave is a Brave is a Brave and let's proceed with the DRAFT....if the CITY gets to "7" then Cassidy proceed and all owners should understand the restrictions of CITY over FRANCHISE...clear as mud? I hope so :D Regardless of the poll outcome remember for the purposes of these 2 rounds ONLY players 1900 to present are eligible to be drafted for FRANCHISE purposes, ALL players such as DUFF will be eligible during the regular draft

**SECONDLY, when you post your pick, please include Player's name, year and City (important for like Bonds and Hornsby) and then announce your stadium and year with the pick, so that you have your stadium LOCKED...if you guys can, please stop by this thread every couple of hours throughout the day to see if your pick comes up...it would stink if the pick got stuck on somebody for like 12 to 16 hours....additionally, if anyone needs to get ahold of me privately and don't want to post a message to all, I believe all of you are in a league with me (I'm currently in 32 active leagues) so just send me a private message, I'm good about getting back to you if you message me.

I FEEL your pain brother  if we both end up picking the same franchise at the bottom, #12 might just be better than #11 since you'd have the rebound pick...in a lot of other Franchise League I've seen, it REALLY favors the HIGH picks, hopefully having the SNAKE will help us overcome the STING. ;)

I'll be gone for a few hours....Thanks Frank for stepping in....I think you guys have more experience at this stuff than me, so if anyone isn't sure, ask one another for clarifications and proceed with the draft....

Cassidy you're on the clock you lucky duck....so who will it be....hmmm?

Remember a Brave is a Brave is Brave(Boston, MIL & ATL)....A Giant is a Giant is a Giant (NYG & SF) this should lessen the chances of there being 4 Yankee Stadiums at least....maybe it will be down to me to pick when I get back this afternoon :D
