At first, I thought you meant the next two rounds, then I realized that you meant Doug's pick and then mine. I've advocated that course of action in the past, so I'm supportive of the idea. It would be nice if we could have our teams ready to go on Friday so we can quickly transition from one agonizing, frustrating league to the next one.

And haven't we been dealing with scrubs since about the tenth round? :?

I'd be in favor of this also.

Guys I am fine with this but when I floated the idea a few days ago I got some pushback. In fact most that weighed in wanted to go the distance.

Round 22 is concluded with the selection of two individuals who played a great role when Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in 1947, Branch Rickey (Brooklyn Dodgers President) and Burt Shotton (Dodgers field manager).

I'm making a selection for Round 23, so as not to delay the draft if we are indeed going to continue.

Round XXIII

265. kenhutchings - George Moriarty 1910 (Sherlock Holmes nemesis??)

The most expensive available S/R is Howie Camnitz 1909 for 9.41M which is apparently Doug_Tucker's next proxy. Has anyone been keeping up with the rosters? Do we know that Doug has that much cap room left?

ROUND 23

265. kenhutchings - George Moriarty 1910
266. Doug Tucker - Howie Camnitz 1909
267. Musial6 -
268. krazykat -
269. gfdwarf -
270. ehlekev -
271. Risden -
272. AllStarInc -
273. LMBombers -
274. GordieHowe -
275. RickSmith -
276. rjnewman

Might I suggest that we make the proxy pick for Doug according to his instructions, and move on in the draft. I doubt that anyone else has salary cap available for a pitcher of Camnitz's salary, so it's not like he'd be denying any of the other managers of Camnitz's services. If he can't afford Camnitz, then he can drop him and substitute a less expensive S/R. OK??
