I do get perturbed when I see individuals either talking or texting on cell phones while driving. Some time ago I saw a picture of a church sign which said "Honk if you love Jesus, text while driving if you want to meet him".

Did you consider the problems that will cause? Guys will be auto drafting players that have already been selected through the first 24 rounds by other teams. Unless you instruct everyone to rank their auto draft players as number 24 and 25, and their previously drafted players as 1 thru 23. Just thinking out loud here - maybe the assumption was that everyone would do that anyway? But you know what happens when you assume!!!

Why would guys be autodrafting players that have already been selected?? Guys should only be listing available players. The autodraft is designed to where Hal will never pick a player that is on someone else's draft card. The last two picks would be at the top of the draft card as you already own the rest of the players. This is not complicated and we've been doing it for many years.

So in our "manual drafts" no one has ever selected a player that had already been selected? Only available players have been selected?!?! Damn - I must have been in Superman's Bizarro world observing previous drafts then. Well....excuuuuuse me for pointing out what isn't so freaking obvious. If you put your last two autodraft picks at the top of the draft card, and if just by chance you didn't know that your selection JOE BLOW was already selected by another manager in the previous 23 or 24 rounds of manual draft and said other manager has him listed on his draft card lower than the first two slots, guess what's going to happen? I'm with Newman - let's just continue the manual draft. I said once before long ago - clarification and explanation of rules BEFOREHAND go a long way to avoiding problems. What's the point of closing the barn door after the horses have already escaped?

Wow.... For the record, I did clarify and explain the rules beforehand. This was an idea for trying to speed things up based on the prior feedback from other owners. I have now agreed that we will finish the draft, as previously planned. It is not that big a deal.

Also for the record we have done many drafts of partial rosters (8, 16, 20, 24) and AD'd the rest. It has never been a big deal to straighten out any mis-drafted players during waivers and free agency. This point is moot for this draft, just stating it for future consideration. Kirk out.

I resisted the purchase of a cell phone and finally caved in..that was 10 years ago...it has it's advantages to own one but do we really need to stay connected to the world 24 hours a day?... i sleep with my cell phone (no we are not having a serious relationship ) I use the cell as my alarm on work days...now i'm feeling sentimental for the days of the telegraph and smoke signals.

I have a cell phone, but I guess technologically speaking it is a Dumb Phone (a very basic Nokia). I plan on keeping it that way.

I will absolutely never read a book on a computer, phone or IPAD screen. I got along for many years reading maps to get where I was going, and thus don't feel the need for G.P.S. when I'm traveling. In fact, I will often comment that "Real men don't use G.P.S." And even though we men have a reputation for not asking directions, I think one of the reasons we don't is that most people don't know how to give them properly.

Personally, I'm opposed to the use of computers in elementary schools, because I believe that we need to teach the students how to develop their thought processes (so that they are able to do elementary math without having to resort to a computer).

I've only been a fan of Star Trek TOS..the one character who I think could have been a comfortable fit in the original would have been Data...he had a Spock like demeanor. Favorite TOS character? Dr. McCoy. McCoy would be perfect as the Mets team doctor and tending to all their injured pitchers

AMEN BROTHER! As a sixth grade teacher I teach math only using a pencil and paper. Once a year we read the story of
Charles Lindbergh flying solo across the Atlantic Ocean having only a map, a compass, and the North
Star.
But I am considering getting a GPS for my wife.
(Clarification. I have to use a calculator to figure out the volume of a cylinder).
