Notice you did similar experiment with a few other cards. Most notably Phiester 9.69**
I would be interested in how useable a consolation you got for him given where he was on your card.

For Pfiester from what I can tell, I either ended up with Jack Coombs 8.90 or Hershiser 8.75.

Interesting that I got McDowell 9.60 as consolation for Mathewson 10mil.

BTW I thought this would be easier to fit all the studs on one team, wow was I wrong. Trick part for me is having both teams in the same division, so IMO it makes it almost pointless to make the two teams equal. Got a plan though.

with the full player set, I am not convinced that having 2 teams is going to let you build a team better than anyone else can. the salary cap limits how much can be done in terms of packing teams, right?

Sure the salary cap restricts all of us, however via my draft card results with some luck I've got an unusually large pool of RHBs to choose from between the two teams.

In which I don't have to worry about making a fair trade to acquire one of those bats from another manager, I can just take which ever bat I want from myself.

I can see where that would come in to play. One might even consider having one team in a RH ballpark and the other in a LH ballpark. Then the consolation prizes that don't fit could be swapped between teams. Takes part of the "bad draft" factor out of the equation.

I am thinking I would enjoy trying an experiment like this but would prefer an arrangement where nobody would have 2 teams in one division.
