EVENT 6: Tear Down This Wall: 1986-current DRAFTING

PostTue Sep 03, 2013 5:55 pm

OK, here with go with event number six. 1986-present. If Randy could send out the player sheet that would be great.

Current Rankings Points
RJNEWMAN 380
LMBOMBERS 362.5
RICK SMITH 353
GORDIE HOWE 353
ALLSTARINC 349
RISDEN 339
KRAZYKAT 328
EHLEKEV 327
GFDWARF07 314
MUSIAL6 313
DOUG TUCKER 299
KENHUTCHINGS 291.5

We need a tie breaker for Rick and Gordie (both at 353 points). Unless I already stated another method I looked up cumulative run differential. Gordie is +122 for four events and Rick is -1, so Rick gets the nod on the better draft pick. If there are any errors, please let me know ASAP.

Draft Order is thus:

1. kenhutchings
2. Doug Tucker
3. Musial 6
4. gfdwarf
5. ehlekev
6. krazykat
7. risden
8. allstarinc
9. Risk Smith
10. Gordie Howe
11. LMBombers
12. rjnewman

Thanks and good luck!

I think it's important we know what the ball park options will be for this league. All parks from this era open for selection or just a select few?

Are we drafting only from the ATG set, 1986 on?

All-StarInc is the only team that needs to load in the Small Ball League.

Just a quick perusal of the stadiums for this time span seems to indicate that there are only stadiums from the 2005 season.

Will we be using a DH for this league?

And.......just throw it out there for discussion or debate - at just a glance, there seems to be a lot more high dollar players in this group. Would it be feasible to raise the cap another 10M to 90M??? Don't one of you do an analysis of total cap and total # of players available?

DH YES - we will stick with the 80M Cap to stay consistent. Park is any park available as part of ATG from 1986 forward. If that is 2005 only, so be it. I have not checked.

From the original tourney post: 6. Tear Down This Wall: 1986-current - 337 hitters & 222 pitchers: 80M with DH
Thanks for the ideas/questions!
