keeper leagues

PostThu Sep 05, 2013 10:09 pm

I'm looking for as many details on keeper leagues as at all possible...is there a thread out there that gives the info that I am looking for? (I've been searching but I can't seem to find any)

What kind of information are you looking for? Generally details are initially established by whomever starts the league and are negotiated by participants from there. If you are looking for examples of keeper leagues I would suggest going to the individual league chat forum and just browsing the threads for keeper league discussions and read up.

Thanks, Valen, I will do that. I'm wondering how you keep and then draft the players with the online program? Do you contact SOM and give them the teams and then they arrange it? Do the managers just put the players they have kept in their draft list?

Most keepers have a commissioner who keeps a spreadsheet of who is on each roster. Drafts are done on a thread in the Individual League chat and the spreadsheet is updated and sent out.

The online game is just used to play the game.

Stoney covers it. League commissioner keeps track and polices. But basically everyone is on the honor system to follow the league's keeper rules. Nothing to stop someone from ignoring them but I suspect anyone violating rules agreed on by league members would find getting the password for the next incarnation of the keeper league a wee bit difficult.

Mac,

Look at the first post in the chat threads for USKL 3 and/or NAKL for examples of how the league is set up and what the rules can be. As already stated the "book keeping" has to be handled by the commissioner and it's a pretty expansive job.
