Question about Gold Glove

Question about how the gold gloves are awarded.
Do you think a player must have 502 plate appearances to qualify for the Golden Glove award?

A player probably has to be pretty much full time to win a Gold Glove but I am not sure whether they use 502 plate appearances as a standard.
