Dry Spells

In my last 21 completed teams I've made the playoffs 11 times. Clearly this isn't Nev or Petroesque, but I'm kind of proud of it and it's honestly better than I ever thought I'd achieve against the regulars that litter the Strat leagues.

However,in that 11 playoff teams I have 5 Semi losers and 6 Finals loser.

Zero championships.

I'm ready to pull my hair out.

I have a team right now that finished in second but had the best run differential in the league. I have very little hope.

What are your worst dry spells?

My worst is missing the post season in just 3 straight seasons.

But nice humble brag none the less motherscratcher.

-- 11 lost Semis

But NO ring since October 2010

I had 17 teams make the playoffs out of my last 28 and all lost Finals or Semi's - BUT 3 out my last five teams have won rings. It goes in streaks. Playoffs are always a crapshoot - you have a 25% chance of getting a ring.

Wow, 17 teams is pretty brutal. It's definitely a crapshoot, but I'm ready for it to be a little less crap...

And FU...nothing humble about that brag. I think 11/21 isn't too shabby if I do say so myself!

FUDU, only 3 straight misses...that's totally amazing, I've had at least 15 straight misses...but 9 out of last ten in the finals and 4 champs out of that bunch. For sure the best run I've ever had, but back to normal now and it looks like out of 10 active only 3 or 4 possible playoff teams...if the dice roll my way.

Well to be fair and put things into context, I don't play nearly as many teams as most of you guys. I rarely play 4-5 at time, it's usually 2-3 and they overlap each other by 25-45 games.

Don't mistake my comments on not missing, I've missed plenty just so happens not a lot in a row.

Currently in the middle of my worst semi run ever. Lost 11 of last 12 semis.....most in this fashion: Go in with home field advantage and promptly drop the first 2 games while losing one or two key players to injury for the rest of the series. That's followed by the customary fizzle out in 5 games usually, maybe 6 if I put up a fight. But we play this game because it's FUN GODDAMMIT!!
