Walk off game winning HRs

I would watch more baseball in real life if there were as many bottom of the 9th come from behind walk off HRs.

I don't know if there's a Gremlin in the system that wants to make the games more exciting.

Maybe they just stand out in my mind more than dull endings.

I feel like a poker player who keeps losing to 4 if a kind hands. They shouldn't happen this often.

I've often thought that I seem to be the victim of more walk-off or game winning (losing, in my case) ninth inning rallies than my opponents. But, I think it is that the losses just stick out more than the wins. One indication that can provide a little correlation is your record in 1 run games.

AHHHHHHH!!! Completely disregard my previous post. I just checked last nights games for one of my teams and, sure enough, I gave up a walk-off 3 run homerun to come from in front and lose the final game of the series. Bertolett is, in fact, correct - this game is rigged!!!

I knew I wasn't paranoid! The game is rigged against me.

I would say half the teams benefit from walk off HRs and half don't but I haven't done a study on it.

I don't know, I seem to benefit a fair amount of the time from walkoffs. I've noticed it seems to simply have to do with the pitchers. I like to work with a deep bullpen, so I am well equipped for long games and I usually have the better pitcher in there.

However, for those that lose a lot more extra inning games, maybe you do much better at home to the point that you play more close games on the road? Because that could cause many walkoffs against you.
