I'm not sure that skipping turns is a good idea.

Most teams seemed to be strapped for cash and the cheap players (especially pitching) are in short supply. I'm not sure that a few owners have enough salary cap left to draft a full team at an $80M cap if they can't or aren't able to draft some very cheap players.

Everybody do a salary check. Otherwise some will have to cut people after draft to fit. Thanks Bob.

We need Aaron Rodgers to do a discount salary cap double check!?

I alluded to this problem at the start of the draft - that just looking at the available players, there were way more high $ players than the cheapos and that it was probably going to be tough sledding along the way, trying to campaign for a slightly higher cap in this draft and league!

Managing cap is a big part of draft. Those that may have to violate cap should just announce that their pick will be skipped and salaries can be adjusted when the free agent and waiver period begins. Or you could switch to a lower salary year for a guy you already drafted to free up cap space to finish and then adjust by going back to player year you want and adjusting other low priced players to get under cap in free agency before season when there is no penalty.

Several managers, including me, planned their draft by selecting cheap pitchers earlier in the draft while others were still drafting starting players. If those not managing their cap get a reprieve wouldn't that penalize those following the rules? Just asking.
