Our long national nightmare is over. I finally got off the schneid a few days ago. It took 14 tries since my last championship.

In true Strat fashion I accomplished the feat with an 82 win team with a -19 run differential that shouldn't have even made the playoffs to begin with. I beat two teams that I went a combined 5-16 against in the regular season.

Crazy world. Someone aught to sell tickets.

I know everyone was very concerned.

Seven teams had more wins than the East Division champ, yet somehow that 75-87 team is in the finals.

One man's dry spell is another man's lucky break I guess.

I went 35 teams and about 17 months between championships until I won one about 3 months ago (I have one another since). During the streak I made the playoffs 19 times. I lost in the semis 16 times and made the finals 3 times.

i think the real story is that supertyphoon post...

that team was up 3-1 in the finals, now 3-2....what are the chances they win....just goes to show you playoffs is just a true crap-shoot

i have been on and off these boards for a few years complaining about the constant improbabilities that happen in the playoffs, i think the 75 win team possible championship is maybe midway on that list, just in my own experience....i know everyone else has theirs.

my top 5 list of playoff S%^$ over the years....

1. Way more, I mean way more 82-86 win team rings than 95+
2. My last count, 16 up 3-1, lose series (maybe 70 teams or so) and oh yeah just 1 time i came back to win like that
3. How many times i see my bullpen used just in a ridiculous way, leading to 3,4,5 rolls in a row in the "sweet zone" to lose a game (then how many times in a row in a series i see it happen leading to number 2)
4. Why the hell do regular season home road splits mean nothing in the playoffs???? this one perplexes me
5. You guessed it......big bats seem to always hit the pitcher card, crappy bats hit the hitters cards and always seem to miss sht
