Sent Big A an email so I sort of expected that he would have picked. Then again, he may not have had time before going to work. It's early evening where he is (I think) so perhaps he'll be picking soon. We haven't heard from DJ, but he usually out there lurking.
Honestly though, I don't get the rush. Don't you guys enjoy a live draft? What fun is it when it's done in 2 hours? Or 1 day? Or 3 days? I don't have much free time in my life for this stuff, but I really enjoy knowing that there is a draft to check in on. They all get finished in the end.
I agree with bigmahon....it used to bother me but not anymore. Not a big deal to me if the start gets pushed back a week because of a slow draft. I don't like the pressure of rushing or worrying about proxies if I'm at work.
The thing I don't like is when we have looooong breaks and don't know what's going on. It's OK if someone says "it's going to be tough for me this day" but as long as guys are checking in a regular as they can and communicate, then I'm fine with it not being rapid fire.
When we have a day with six picks, I' feel like I'm checking in for no reason and that gets frustrating.
But, you're right, in the end, we're done and usually the thing picks up speed as we progress anyway.
I'll have to settle for the attempt myself...i'll probably be mid 20's by the time my last team finishes.
My ATG teams finished in 10th place last year. We had 9th in the bag until the last league.
For my troubles, I played in the semi-finals with BigM. Of course, I had the bonus of being in the same division with the team that beat BigM that season.
I've been in quite a few of these probably more than anyone here. Saying the first round not being smooth wasn't a complaint, just talking aloud as it's always like this. Not saying I won't complain 'some' going forward, however. It's primarily when the same people go AWOL a few times.
