LOL Jeep. I guess in the absence of anything else to talk about we *should* complain about things being slow!

I have the NLD History done, let me see if I have time to post tonight. If not, then tomorrow.

Speaking of "slow", as I mentioned, the government shutdown has forced my work to give us two holidays this week (Long story to explain). That being the case, Th and F will be hard for me to pick. I will do my best to post proxies on the slow DD site, but when I'm in Carmel, it will be hard to explain to my wife why I'm sitting in my room waiting for the page to load while she's site-seeing and wine tasting. So.....Please cut me some slack. 8) I'll be checking with Wineman and even though he's also out of town, between the two of us we'll try not to miss any time slots. Thanks for understanding.

Jeep I wasn't really complaining about people complaining, it was just a response to BigM's post that got me thinking. I used to get frustrated at slow drafts but now I actually appreciate the time to dig a little deeper into my picks. I don't mind setting proxies but I only like to set a few...not really thrilled about doing several rounds of them as my strategy might change.

I do agree that the only thing that frustrates me now in live drafts are when it always gets stuck on the same guy for hours. I think it's common courtesy to check in at least 2 or 3 times a day if you commit to the league. If you see your turn is coming up leave a proxy or check back relatively soon.

Hey, my last two teams have been baffling. If I start with a baffler, then I won't be shocked when he performs to expectations.

Ok, NLD History posted here:

http://angelfire.com/games5/joethejet/NLD_History.xls

You'll probably have to copy and paste.

Notable:

Obviously, GB's domination of the NLD Not only did he win again, but he also posted the best record!
Interesting to note, he won 87-88-89 games.
9th champ with the best record. The best record had not won since NLD 28 (AT)
Very tight range of PO Records: 89-86-86-85
only four teams were under .500
The Std deviation of records (6.3) was the 7th smallest ever
Wineman/JTJ nudged just ahead of Big M in Winning Pct.
GB with the best record of "non-qualifiers"
DJ made his first NLD Playoff
WM/JTJ #14 and AT #11.
WM/JTJ made their second is a row after missing 8.
Big A has been out-in-out-in-out in terms of playoffs. Does that mean he's a lock for NLD34???

All I got tonight.

Turn seems like an optimistic term. I'd prefer drag. ;)
