zero leagues

PostSat Oct 19, 2013 9:21 pm

I made a quick count and i believe there sre 14 Atg7 leagues in the directory with 0 teams. I thought those were supposed to be deleted on some regular basis. Meanwhile it seems the time to fill leagues has got to be the longest ever.
I think Atg needs something new to build at least a little interest.

IMO the ATG guys run a ton of teams at once, and either feel full, or get burnt out for a few weeks. I do sometimes and I only do 2-3 teams at a time.

Looks like a clean up was done! There are 10 ATG leagues in the directory now, all with at least 1/12.....and the entire directory is substantially smaller..
To many teams, not enough time! Must be an addiction!!

I have been avoiding new leagues for a while now to get my active teams and commitments down to a manageable level.

That being said, if Strat has many ANY improvements to the game in the last year or so I'm unaware of it. No new cards. No live draft. No manager ratings...I'm getting bored with it.

I love this game, but it could be sooooo much better.

Heck, I rarely hang around the boards anymore. Not much going on.

Manager ratings alone would revive some action.

How would manager ratings increase participation?

Manager ratings were flawed and never contributed to leagues filling. If anything the manager ratings discouraged leagues from filling.

With the ratings you got to see how awesome you were, Ric ;)

I don't agree.

Because it was flawed by giving too much weight to # of teams played it encouraged guys to buy teams to jack up their rating...even if the teams were marginal it still upped their rating.

The ratings along with the addition of a live draft I think would help revive this game as much as anything else could. Seems to me this should have been done a while back.

I also think there are too many games. No offense to those who play the older versions of ATG or the decade themes but there isn't enough participation in those league to warrant them being around IMO. Maybe those guys would move to the current ATG game and leagues would fill faster....or maybe they wouldn't play at all. Its a risk I think is worth taking.
