If a player has multiple cards that qualify in a category, do we have to declare when we draft which one we are using? In particular, if different cards are eligible at different positions - for instance, Yount qualifies at doubles for both SS and CF on different cards. Since we effectively control all the rights to all of his cards when we draft him, do we have to lock him into a particular position when we select him? It might allow for more strategy if you can keep your options flexible in this manner, so long as each of the cards in question qualifies for that round.

The only thing that matters is the category being filled. In your case with Yount, as long as he meets the requirements in that category, any card/position is ok. You can even use Yount for the SLG category.

That make sense?

I think he is asking if he has to declare which card he is using instead of just naming a player that meets the category. For example, Yount qualifies for the slugging category as SS at 10.13, also as SS at 7.81 and as a CF at 4.74. He wants to say Robin Yount, and later be able to use any Yount card depending on the needs of his team

*** AS A REMINDER, PLEASE KEEP TRACK OF YOUR POSITIONS. WHEN WE ARE DONE WITH THE DRAFT, EVERY POSITION SHOULD BE COVERED, as well as 3 SP's and a RP. (12 total) You can make the loading process quicker, if you are building your team as we go, rather than buy a team and wait for the 12th round to end.

I only care about the category.

If you wanna use Yount @ SS or CF, it's your perogative. He's multi-carded. And multi-categoried (If that's even a word)

Sounds good. Thanks for clarifying.

(Don't worry, I'm not jumping the gun and trying to draft him early)

Clarification request for Visick, I had asked earlier if a category pick can be used as a backup. Is it your intent that all category picks must be starters?

Similar question for *sp. if we select 3 in this draft, can we use non-star starters to supplement rotation?

Thanks :)

My intent was having all of our picks start, so yes.
With regards to pitching, as long as your SP's fit the requirements, you can use as many guys as you want to round out your rotation.
