I'm self-employed, so I applied through the Colorado website (had no problems doing it). I received several different options but didn't pick one at that time. A day later my current insurer (Humana) sent me a letter informing me that my rates were going down by about $15 a month!! Now I'll have more $$ to spend on Strat!!

Family of 4 here. Our plan was dropped. The new plan is about 60% higher. I'm in California, so our site was working a little bit. I would see plans, but couldn't sign up (not going to, just checking it out). I couldn't be more disappointed how this is all shaping out. Although I was against Obamacare initially I decided to let it roll through and see how it turns out. We so far the results are less than stunning. In January our premiums are going to sky rocket and compete with our mortgage for our highest monthly bill. Now I just need to make some cuts. I really don't want to cut our Strat, but I will have to slow down a bit. Unless the live draft happen.. hint hint.

I am single, 55 years old and insured through my employer. We are a start up company entering our second full year, with a fair amount of growth in the number of personnel. Changes in the monthly bill could at least partly be for reasons other than the Affordable Care Act.

It's just my opinion, but I think it was designed to ultimately fail and push us into a one payer system. The failure just seems to be happening faster than anticpated. It definitely hasn't lowered the average family's health care premiums, and a lot of people are losing their current plans, contrary to President Obama's promise. Nobody knew what was in the bill when it was passed, and I am not sure any body really knows what is in the bill now. There is way too much "as the Secretary shall direct". I think it should have been challenged as unconstitutional because it delegates the law-making power of Congress to the Executive Branch. But I am not a lawyer, so that is another opinion.

Single Payer is what Obama wanted all along. I think you are 100% correct.

Correct, single payer was the plan. The ACA is the watered down Republican counter to Hillary Care. Socialist mandates and all

From a personal perspective, it's the difference between working, paying taxes, and no Insurance company can deny my family coverage, or never getting coverage at any cost. A possibility at that point is quit work and rely on Medicaid.

The division of a large company I work for was sold off (with me in it, didn't even move cubicles). In January, we get a new provider for the newly formed company. It's going to happen again, as the Investors are looking to turn it around, not hold on to the company. New Healthcare provider couldn't deny based on pre-existing conditions, so I'm good.

There are folks working for companies previously acquired that had been denied coverage for things like Diabetes, that were recently able to get coverage for the first time in years.
