It wasn't so long ago on the previous TSN site that the most popular thing to do on a Friday night was organize a live draft league

Sigh......

I remember when the most popular thing to do on a Friday night was take my girlfriend out on a date.

You can still do that, just don't let the wife know about it.

Had one friend years ago who had one girlfriend babysit his kid so he could go out with another girl.
Closest I know of someone taking them both. Not sure if that shows talent or something else though....

Getting back on topic. I think there is some truth to what nev says about seeing the same rotating group of people in ATG.
But will say last few leagues there appear to have been a number of new people. I judge that by names I did not recognize and the number following poor strategy such as wholesale dropping of players. Experienced managers may tinker but generally when you see someone who has 20-30+ players no longer on roster you know it is a newbie. Hopefully the sub .400 record being posted by some of those will not keep them from sticking around.

.

Its an accurate statement-
if one or two new managers show up in a league, that means that the other 10 or 11 are the SAME guys.

BTW- Im not much of a business genius, but extrapolating- if Im relying on 80~90% of my sales to be returning customers- I know the lengths Id go to try and retain em- of course, Im not in business, and Im sure some of my customers would be wise-arses who thought they knew more than me.

I would play more ATG if I didn't suck so bad at it. :D

Seriously, playing in a pair of Franchise leagues, $120 and 140 mil . . . my pitching staff in the $120 has a team ERA of 6.60 after 66 games. How the hell do I improve that, when I've spent $33 on my four starters? It's not like I have a bunch of guys to choose from.

Although I know the franchise leagues are quite popular, I never really did get it myself. They seem too unfair...
