Outstanding Auto Draft!!!

At least I would call it outstanding! I got 22/25 players in my draft for a $200M league. I got every pitcher on my list, and missed out on 3 hitters.....Willie Wells, Cobb, and Charleston. I purposely left Ruth off the list because everyone else would have him on theirs was my guess. My 3 replacements for the guys I missed were Rizzuto (Wells), Gwynn (Cobb), and Puckett (Charleston).

I think this team turned out OK to start with.........

Your 22 out of 25 guys is misleading- because you have a number of pitchers and a few hitters I doubt anyone else had on their draft card- for a 200 level draft.
I count 8 or 9 guys that likely no one else listed- not including your 3 replacements.

That does not mean you won't do well, you got a number of good players.

Question, why did you not apply the same logic to Bonds as you did to Ruth, do you think people rarely go after Bonds?

To be honest FUDU, I am not sure I can answer your question. I know they both are always at the top of everyone's list, I have used Ruth in the past but have NEVER had Bonds, so maybe that was my thinking or maybe I "just wasn't thinking"!!

I have not played $200 for a very long time and at one time swore I never would again.....but thought what the hell, give it a try and see what happens.

I have to imagine hitters such as Bonds, Mantle, and Gehrig are usually on the 200 rosters. who are the hitters that are "rarely" on those rosters?? May help me in the future (if I play $200 again)!!!

IMO, and I believe most others have stated this as well, 200 is actually the smallest card set going by the player who get used routinely.

Wait till the season starts and look at the FA listing on opening night and then again after 20-30 games, whoever you see on that list is usually there in FA.

That is a very interesting list FUDU.....I mainly play in the $110-140 leagues, and many of those players NEVER make a team at those caps! Rizzuto I will use at any level because he is steady, but other than Buck Leaonard and Eric Davis I dont think I have used any of the others on that list,

Salty has rained on plenty of my parades. LOL It is his speciality. My advice is get your umbrella out and listen. You can get some good advice and even better back and forth discussion.
