I'm interested, but have a couple of questions....
1) What about our other 21 players that we autodraft....must they all be affiliated with our stated franchise of choice?
2) If the answer to #1 is 'yes', then are we limited to players carded only for that franchise? I.E...can pittsburgh use the big Barry Bonds card?

If you read paragraph 10 of the FAQ again, you'll read that you'll submit to an auto draft at the conclusion of the 4 round Franchise draft. it will be a private auto league, you'll list your 4 Franchise keepers at #22, 23, 24 and 25 on your auto draft list. The other 21 players on your list have NO restrictions, they may come from ANY franchise....as long as none of them come from any of the 44 other Franchise players already claimed by the other 11 owners.

But I have a question or point of order regarding placing your 4 players selected on your draft card at the bottom. Maybe it's implied in your already very detailed description, but just for extreme clarification - are you stipulating or should you stipulate that these 4 need to be placed at their drafted value that will be maintained through the four seasons. For example, you can't draft the 11M something Duffy, but put the .90 Duffy on your draft card to free up more cap for the auto-draft, and then switch-out to the correct Duffy before the season starts. Right?

And another question came to mind while perusing the possibilities. I'm kind of reading into your instructions again that you can only combine the first and second "franchise" players that have actual cards, right? For example, you can't combine Jimmy Foxx with Pedro Martinez just because Jimmy Foxx later played with the Red Sox, but doesn't have a card for that franchise. Am I correct in that assumption?

Yes I agree. You should have to use the same dollar amount in every draft. I think that is how it is but this should clear it up.

Surprised to see that this league hasn't filled yet. I didn't join because I knew that I would be gone most of this week and wouldn't be able to participate in the draft process. Now, I'm back, league not filled and … I'll be gone most of the day tomorrow and Saturday. So, if not filled by Saturday evening … you can count me in.

NEW 4 SEASON FRANCHISE KEEPER CAMPAIGN
1 – 12 team league with varying caps over 4 seasons…ALL leagues to be RANDOM DIVISIONS.
Season 1 - $115M – DH
Season 2 - $120M – DH
Season 1 - $125M – DH
Season 2 - $130M - DH

2 – We’re looking for owners that are committed to playing ALL 4 seasons.

3 – There will be an initial 4 round snake draft held in the Private League Chat Rooms (anticipated to take no more than 3 or 4 days.)

4 – Drafting positions for the first round for the initial one time only FRANCHISE draft will be determined through a randomizer. The order for the 2nd round will be in reverse order (SNAKE)....Round 3 will be determined through a 2nd randomizer. The order for the 4th round be in reverse order (SNAKE)

5 – Owners should be able to check the chat room multiple times each day during the 3 day 4 round draft to ensure it completes on time and avoiding that the draft getting stuck for more than an hour or so during normal waking hours, the goal is we COMPLETE the initial 4 round snake draft by Wednesday (if we fill on Sunday) or Thursday if we don't fill until Monday. , then we could fill out our draft cards and sit by Friday Evening at the latest in order to draft this week.

6 – The FOUR franchise players CANNONT change during any of the 4 seasons. The FRANCHISE players may not be traded and/or dropped and/or switched to a different salary during any of the 4 seasons of the Campaign…In round 1 each owner will draft a player (hitter or pitcher) from ANY era. The owner will announce the year that they will choose to use the FRANCHISE player. The owner will also draft a STADIUM from the same Franchise, although if the franchise moved at any time such as the Braves and Giants, then the owner may draft a stadium from another city as long as it was part of the historical franchise. The owner will name the year of the stadium to be used for the entire 4 season Campaign during which time it CANNOT change.

7 – In round 2 each owner will draft a 2nd player from the same franchise, although he may or may not be from the era as the player and/or stadium taken in the first player. The owner will also name the year of the player chosen to be used through ALL 4 seasons of the campaign. If the 1st player taken is a hitter then the 2nd player taken MUST be a pitcher and vice versa, if the 1st player taken is a pitcher then the 2nd player taken MUST be a hitter.

8 – It should be noted 2 or more owners may draft players from the same franchise, although stadiums would need to be different. For example, the 4th owner could draft 1955 Duke Snider + Dodger ‘05, then the 8th owner could draft 1953 Roy Campanella + Dodger ’78. In the second round owners #4 and #8 would need to draft Dodger pitchers, although they could be from the same or different eras as the players taken in the first round.

9 – The two additional franichise players to be selected (1 hitter and 1 pitcher) may come from ANY franchise, they are NOT restricted to be affiliated with the Franchise stadium...they MUST be drafted in rounds 3 and 4....their salary may not change from season to season, nor may they be traded and/or dropped at any time during the 4 season CAMPAIGN.

10 – When the 1st draft card is prepared for season #1 – owners are recommended to list their FRANCHISE players at #22, #23, #24 and #25 and select the correct stadium and year…ALL owners should take great care to ensure that they do NOT place ANY of the other 44 FRANCHISE players on their draft card…any owner that does so will be boiled in oil and sold into bondage in addition to being mocked and ridiculed by the other owners relentlessly.

11 – All NeL players belong to the NeL franchise. If an owner or owners choose to draft NeL players as their FRANCHISE players, you can draft ANY stadium listed as an NeL stadium…it should be noted that if you do so, you should be careful, since your pitching options could be limited.
