That was from Terry101, not me -- but I guess I could live with that if others wanted it.

Guess I was confused about who made which proposals. However, I can live with any of the ones made - but would hurt my majors lineup if I had to move Ramirez to it.

Whatever the limits we end up with, I think this is going to be fun to see the leagues in action. For me, it's:

Majors
- $107.5 mil
- Fine pitching staff in Petco
- Solid fielding up the middle and in the outfield
- Let's see how many 1-run wins we can rack up!

Minors
- $38.8 mil
- Neutral park at Wrigley
- Platoons of injury-plagued guys who will hit better than their salaries would show (on the days they show up for work)

Instructional
- $19.4 mil
- Put Thome, Hafner & Ibanez in Yankee Stadium and hope for the best!

Any scouting reports from other franchises?

Player draft will end no later than Saturday afternoon. If you have any preferences here at the shallow end of the talent pool, this would be a great time to express them!

Scouting report from the world of Westeros :

Majors (the Lannisters)
- $107.5 mil
- Fine pitching staff (Medlen, Cueto, Zimm, Dempster, Paulino plus Rod Fernando to close)
- A lot of 1s & 2s at the D (Rollins, Freeman, Dominguez, Ad.Jones, A.Ethier
- Every players can hit the long ball

Minors : the Targaryens
- $ 43 mil
- Neutral park to be chosen
- Okay Pitching i guess (Gee, Hellickson, An Sanchez , Clay RIchard, D.Robertson)
- Some pop from (M.Moreland, C.Johnson, J Lowrie, S Smith, Pence)
- A good leadoff in Crisp
- Medium D

Instructional : the Baratheons
- $18 mil
- Brett Wallace & Delmon Young could be my offensive stars
- The Nix brothers should bring some fans
- Former SP stars such as Haren, E Santana, C.Young, U. Jimenez should be ''fun'' to watch...

 I would have play a Winterfell Starks team but I already used that name for another team in another league.

Thanks to all who have commented on the proposed rules and/or suggested changes. Based on these discussions, I edited the league rules this morning, both in the first tab in this ILC chat thread and in the Google doc's "Rules" tab. Edits are as follows:

TEAM SALARY CAPS

Majors: $200 mil cap
Minors: $50 mil cap for ACTIVE players on roster
Instructional: $25 mil cap for ACTIVE players on roster

INDIVIDUAL SALARY CAPS

Majors: None
Minors: No more than 3 players over $3.5 mil, with a cap of $4.5 mil for any individual player
Instructional: No more than 3 players over $2.0 mil, with a cap of $3.0 mil for any individual player

INJURIES -- Line added

The injury replacement can not have a higher salary than the injured player.

STAGED LEAGUE START DATES -- Items re: player movement added

Because the leagues are not all starting at the same time, it would be possible for a better player to start the season at a lower level and then be promoted as soon as the next league starts. To avoid that, only promotions for injury replacements will be allowed in the first 30 games of each league's season.

After game 30 in a given league, players can be demoted from one league to another. In such cases, though, the replacement who is promoted must have a higher salary than the one who is sent down.

* * * * *

The player drafts will all be completed today and I will start the Minors and Instructional leagues on this basis, unless there are fine-tuning ideas posted before that time.

Looking at my teams, I had to make some changes cause of the individual caps, I totally didn't plan on having to use * and non * starting pitchers in a 5 man rotation...

Anyhoo....

that wasn't the point...

With, the way the cap is set for the instructional league, I could drop Soriano down to that level, cause he is only 2.7 million, and he could hit 70 HRs...

I m ok with that, but it just feels like it would be gaming the system to do that.

Maybe no players over 1.5 that have 600 plate appearences?

Player draft is completed. The honor of being the 940th (last) player drafted goes to Daisuke Matsuzaka.
