TEAM SALARY CAPS

Majors: $200 mil cap
Minors: $50 mil cap for ACTIVE players on roster
Instructional: $25 mil cap for ACTIVE players on roster

INDIVIDUAL SALARY CAPS

Majors: None
Minors: No more than 3 players over $3.5 mil, with a cap of $4.5 mil for any individual player
Instructional: No more than 3 players over $1.75 mil, with a cap of $2.25 mil for any individual player proposed change by TCochran

INJURIES -- Line added

The injury replacement can not have a salary more than 1 mil higher than the injured player. Proposed change by Terry101 based on Dr.P's post

STAGED LEAGUE START DATES -- Items re: player movement added

Because the leagues are not all starting at the same time, it would be possible for a better player to start the season at a lower level and then be promoted as soon as the next league starts. To avoid that, only promotions for injury replacements will be allowed in the first 30 games of each league's season.

After game 30 in a given league, players can be demoted from one league to another. In such cases, though, the replacement who is promoted must have a higher salary than the one who is sent down.

All 940 players must get at least one appearance

The player drafts will all be completed today and I will start the Minors and Instructional leagues on this basis, unless there are fine-tuning ideas posted before that time.

Suggestion: Commish to approve (if approved, then change in the Rules tab). We should all be aware of the above rules. Thanks to Terry C for an incredible set up

New tabs on on Google doc:
Hitters
Pitchers

As shown there, willmurr does have 37 pitchers and 6 managers only have 34.

Thanks to JF for offering to at least make willmurr's squads viable at 3 x 12 pitchers each.

If one more of the managers with 34 pitchers could also offer a swap like that, then all of us would have either 34 or 35.

Fine-tuning changes approved. I will post in both of the Rules docs.

Thanks to all for helping to build this first iteration of what I hope will be an annual event.

BTW, since all posting by individual managers in the Google doc is now done, I switched the sharing back to:

League available to load:

Let's draft 'em all :: Minors
Password: middle

Game engine cap: $60 mil
League: $50 mil cap for ACTIVE players on roster

Up to 26 active players
No more than 3 players over $3.5 mil, with a cap of $4.5 mil for any individual player

As before, I have loaded my team, to get the league started. I will withdraw it as soon as another team is loaded and then later return as the 12th team, when we are ready to start the season for this league.

All three leagues are ready to load

Terry: Amazing job of putting these leagues and this concept together. In putting my teams together, I couldn't help but notice that I have a bunch of 5 and 6 injury guys on my rosters. I might need to make the Mayo Clinic one of my home fields.

I do have a question...like everyone, I've drafted three fields. Do I have to use them in any specific order or can I use the stadium I chose last as my major league home field?

One of the managers emailed last night with a question about timing. Here's the section from the rules:

STAGED LEAGUE START DATES
As shown in the Google doc, league start dates will be setup so that "September call-ups" will have less impact on lower level title runs. The Instructional league will start first, followed by the Minors and then by the Majors. At one week apart, this means that when the lower level league concludes the regular season, then the higher level league will be at game 141 (and still able to add players to rosters).

This means that the Instructional league will start play next Monday (I hope), followed by the Minors on the following Monday and then the Majors one week after that.

Except for injury replacements, nobody can be promoted from the Instructional league to the Minors until after game 30 has been played in the Minors. Likewise, except for injury replacements, nobody can be promoted from the Minors to the Majors until after game 30 has been played in the Majors.
