I think it is going well.

I do not expect either of my teams to make the playoffs but I think I am coming out of this with a better understanding of how Hal uses bullpens.

Not sure if it that we have nothing but vets or if having 2 teams has resulted in everyone having rosters very well matched up with ballpark but there have been no drops of significant players at all. 36 games in and Jeff Reardon, 0.50 roster place holders Lerch and Medich are the only 3 drops.

Contrast that with the only other league I am in where Mays was dropped ....

Preseason was a little confusing as you were negotiating trades with guys knowing there was 50+ players you could ask for and 50+ you could offer but any single actual offer could only involve guys currently on a single pair of rosters.... But that made for more conversation around trades which was interesting. Fewer trades actually happened because fewer people had players they could not make fit one of their ballparks and thus really needed to trade. But it is the discussions I enjoy as much as the actual trading.

You shouldn't ask. But since you did ...
Unless you were rburgh or 216 stitches you need a ticket to watch the playoffs.

Seriously though top 2 W-L records belong to rburgh. Suppose if he were allowed 3 teams he would have won all 3 divisions.

But since he only had 2 then 216 stitches won one division and his second team took the wild card.

I had several experiments going. One was to determine how much difference home park made on pitcher performance. I found based on a sample size of a little over 20 in each park (Petco and Fulton) that ERA was roughly 3 runs different between the two. I was expecting a significant difference but 3 full runs was noteworthy.

Thing I liked most was there was only about 6 players all year long that were dropped for a cap hit. Not sure if that was the double format which led to that or 6 really experienced managers.

Would you mind posting a link to one of the teams so that we can see how the teams were structured?
