A nice offer Rich, thanks. I am definitely up to do it again. Having multiple chances at the same player pool keeps the draft process intriguing. Now that we have seen what some players can do, it would be fun to go again through the whole catalog.

As for the cost, the last place team will have endured enough pain perhaps. Plus they will likely have played the whole tourney without winning any credits and thus have the highest cost of participation, at least in theory. Maybe we can do this on a volunteer basis, when everyone can step up when and if they feel inclined, or as they are able. I will not personally be seeing the trophy anytime soon, but I do plan to drink a lot of beer at the banquet!

If we have a strat meeting in Vegas I can get us some perks. Gordie and I are going on DEC 6 weekend. The Lions maybe for real this year. I live in Chicago area and I have not seen this much whining in a long long time (since Bartman). Any thoughts on the auction rotisserie format? Plus I would like to see Randy slice and dice the ATG historical sets differently for next tourney to keep it as interesting as possible. Or do the same and change the cap to 70 million?Or both...no reason to have it exactly the same. Could also change ballparks available.

If you can ever get all 12 guys in Las Vegas at the same time count me in. It might be fun to do a live, in person draft.

Living in Bakersfield I am a little over four hours away. Bakersfield is not a vacation destinaton point.

I'm ok with kicking in on the trophy cost (knowing I won't be seeing it anytime soon, if ever). I don't know if I'll ever get the hang of this game. But it is still a blast, and the drafting part is really fun too.

How would the auction rotisserie work?

I would probably need a couple months notice for a Strat meeting in Vegas. Do any of you go to spring training in Phoenix?

"How would the auction rotisserie work?"

"I would probably need a couple months notice for a Strat meeting in Vegas. Do any of you go to spring training in Phoenix?"

A rotisserie style draft gives everybody Xmillion dollars to spend and then players are nominated serpentine style by managers and bid on individually. For example Al Kaline is nominated at 2 million. Krazykat bids 2.4 milion Rjnewman bids 2.5 million, Risden bids 2.6 million, Rjnewman bids 2.7 million, Lmbombers bids 2.8 million, Risden bids 2.9 million. Nobody bids for 4 hours. Kaline goes to Risden at 2.9 million. the next player is nominated. The pool of players is exactly 300 players and 12 ball parks. Ball parks are also up for bidding. Very interesting use of funds for general managers. We have done one of these in the past. It was one of my favorite leagues. It is totally different and the draft lasts forever!

Different subject, I go to spring training every year in Phoenix. Usually A few weeks in March. I will be there at least the last two weeks in March in Scottsdale this year. I usually go to a few games and play as much golf as I can fit in! I mostly go to the cubs and white sox games. I used to go to the Brewers games when my brother in law Mark Loretta played for them. Unfortunately I am really a Tiger Fan and they still train in Florida.
