Nope, I can't name one thing I have suggested.
The only thing I have been vocal about was the need for strat to make the rules more readily available. A wish I know Nev and I shared.
But I do know that Moose has done a lot for the strat community and done it without constantly complaining how unhappy he is.

I coach high school basketball and one thing I have learned is 'there are energy givers and energy takers'.
I am pretty sure I know what group moose is in.

Reply all you want, I will not answer.

In your experiences with Moose that might be so. My many experiences, two of which I've posted, with Moose have been very different. He apologized much later for one bad experience which should tell you two things...It takes a pretty big man to apologize (well done Moose) but he's admitting his terrible behavior...Hell, even at my angriest with Moose I've never questioned his work ethic, but that doesn't mean he's beyond reproach for everything... Look, Moose isn't "one thing", none of us are...He might have changed some for the better, I know I've changed for what most would consider the worst, but if you knew what I know you might not spend another dime here.

Charlie defends all things ATG with a blind loyalty that if he had even half a clue he might realize how foolish he's been.

One of the guys Charlie hated to lose, that "contributed so much" was my best friend here. And for the record, he too while recognizing Moose contributions, didn't like Moose much at all.

Charlie rips into me for blasting the switch for TSN to SOM as if it was undeserved. Yet when I met with Hal this past summer one of the very first things he said to me was he couldn't believe how poorly the change went, couldn't believe how many things went wrong, couldn't believe it to so long to right the ship....I could repeat other things said but why, since most just chose to believe whatever they want to believe, regardless of fact.

So yeah I'm the bad guy. I'm not always the bad guy. I didn't start out the bad guy. And I hope to not continue to have to be a bad guy... if you knew what I know, just like if you knew what was legally allowed in a hot dog, you might have a very different opinion of hot dogs, and whether or not you still want you to eat them....You might have all the facts and still choose to play/eat...and that's fine, it's your dollar..I do...I continue to play knowing what I know, and I continue to eat hot dogs too. But I'm not blind or foolish enough to argue that all with SOM and hot dogs are pure and good.

FWIW,

I don't see you Nev and Petro as trolls. I'm fairly certain, many other managers don't either.

I am fairly certain that you and Petro, like me, want the best product possible. We have a sense of what Strat could be, and obviously isn't. I've asked for things. I've recommended stuff. I've sent in some good ideas. It's fallen on deaf ears.

After a while, you tend to get soured by it all.

One would think, that such a small company would go all out to keep it's clients happy. But no. They could do so much, but they do so little. And what they do, is at a snails pace. ie. Live Draft

They give us stuff that doesn't make sense. Really...who asked for a scavenger hunt?

Nev, fair enough.
Perhaps I don't know all that is going on and on a lot of what you complain about I agree. Where we differ is in my life experience I find you can get more accomplished with a friendly word as opposed to a harsh one. To each his own I guess.

As far as Moose is concerned, the few times we have crossed each others paths I have treated him with respect and he has done likewise.

I should add, occasionally I like the odd hotdog.

If I created a scavenger hunt it would be to find the live draft and the prize would be one free live draft for every troll, just so they could see how wonderful the new version is.

Apparently I live in an ever- shifting reality 8-)

Either that or 'not' does 'not' mean what I think it does.

Yeah Nev, I probably apologized to you once, I felt we got back on good terms though when I admitted it was just a running joke when I would often post my "Didn't you quit?" line. You do announce that you were through with the game about every two weeks. ;)

Any even admitting to being a little gruff (to quote someone else) and saying it came from my Dad didn't really reach a level of everybody including you of pointing their finger back at me and saying - - - - - > SEE !!!!

For every "3" of you in this thread that want to rag on the Moose, I can probably bring out 40-50 Barnstormers participants that will say the opposite. And my "hand picked" board have very often made suggestions that made it into the tour lineup for a season. Including when Druid was on the board. Defending the Barnstormers was my initial reason for posting in this thread. That and the 200 Mil crapshoot.

I can also recall many things that Bernie and I worked together on which made improvements into the game. I told him we needed to find a way to randomize the players once the league filled. That leagues with no one in them need to self-destruct to cleanup the directory. Extra points for "Tournament" leagues and creating that designation in the first place. Being able to change your team name was my idea. Being able to wipe out your entire draft card with one click was my suggestion. And several more that I cant name now but were "really big" at the time but that we are just "used to" now. Yeah I know - some of them are HO HUM. Oh and yes, bigger and bigger prizes for the Barnstormers - and hitting them in the head with a hammer when it seemed they were dragging their feet on paying off the prizes. I threatened to cancel an entire upcoming event until I was satisfied that they were paying off the totally livid Barnstormers Champion of his 4 ballpark seats. I have been equally "gruff" in dealing with TSN/SOM in getting main tournament pages up and running and edited for the next seasons new rules and event schedule prior to announcing for a signup sheet. Lots go on behind the scenes that no one knows about. Record books ? Same deal.

But with that said - where can I signup for the Three Trolls Tournament ?

Oh and the scavenger hunt ? Give me credit for NOT thinking up that one.....
