I'm in, but no 100 mil mystery games (those drafts always suck for most of the league)

Round 1 60s dh

Round 2 70s dh

Round 3 80s no dh

Round 4 90s no dh

Round 5 Vote on 60s-90s and dh/no dh

When were you thinking about starting this?

I'm thinking unique stadiums as well. It should be too hard. A penalty should be issued for using the same stadium.

I was actually thinking of NO DH in the 60's & 70's and using the DH in the 80's & 90's.

How about keeping it really simple...
Each year is $80 million.

So,
Round 1: 60's, NO DH
Round 2: 70's, NO DH
Round 3: 80's, DH
Round 4: 90's, DH

These would be the qualifying events.

Point System / Tiebreakers (From Players Championship)

- 1 point for each regular season win
- 5 points for winning a regular season division title
- 5 points for winning the wild card position
- 5 additional points for making the finals
- 5 additional points for winning a league championship

Tiebreakers
1. Championships won
2. Finals made
3. Playoffs made
4. Regular season total wins
5. No. of events played
6. Pick 3 winner

We did this several years ago before the 90s game even came out. It was 4 seasons (2 80s and 2 70s) with the championship season (top 12 point getters) determined by a vote by the participants.
It was a lot of fun, though I'm not a fan of unique stadiums unless we're playing the same season multiple times.

I do not remember what the point system was and if it is different from the existing tournaments.

Wait, are we talking about just a 12 manager individual mini tournament, or are we talking about a 60 or more manager tournament where leagues get randomly assigned over the 4 rounds with the top 12 point getters playing in the finals. The latter is what I was talking about (as long as the total number of managers is divisible by 12, it will work). If we're talking about just a 12 manager mini tournament, then I'm not interested in that.

I am not interested in a 12 manager mini tournament either. I assumed this would be 48, 60 or 72 managers with a point system similar to what was done a few years ago as mentioned by an earlier poster. I am for no DH in the 60's possibly the 70's since the game was played that way back then. Top 12 managers by point total end up in the championship and vote on the decade that will be played in the final round. Final round to include unique stadiums.

Count me in. I am not interested in any seasons with a salary cap over 80M.

We did this 3 times back in 2008, 2009 & 2010. I think we had 48 or 60 managers each time, with you randomly assigned to a league. The top 12 point getters then made the championship, and voted on the set. I assume we are talking about the same type of tournament. 60s probably should be no DH, but I'd say do DH on the others. Unique stadiums doesn't make much sense since each stadium is different in each set and most stadiums are not in all 4 sets.
