gentile in neutral park

PostTue Nov 26, 2013 1:55 am

I've seen Gentile put up some huge numbers in lefty/power parks, but haven't seen him used at all in neutral parks. Just curious if he's still worth the money there. Any numbers greatly appreciated!

While you didn't ask for lefty park links, Jim went 14 for 31 with BPHR rolls in 1971 Shea. He hit roughly 2xs more HRs at home and 3xs more versus RHSPs. For divisional games, he played in Hilltop, 1911 Polo, and 2005 Wrigley.

Unless you're facing a higher than usual number of RHPs and playing in a favorable divisional park situation, I'd avoid Jim.

I thought this was going to be about Koufax marrying a Schiks-appeal kind of thing.
